Jim and Katie Arrive!

Getting off bugs from a lot of states! Jim and Katie at the wash rack.

Ladies from Southern Indiana's back woods aren't into shoes. She may start a new trend in Arizona.

This old girl is cleaning up pretty good!

West (BG) Virginia!

KT with Bull, Wrong Turn lovin' on Lucy. We stopped for as short visit with Redd and his pets.
Jim (Wrong Turn) and Katie (KT) pulled into the Lynda Vista around 4 PM on the 22nd. I was out at the Marine Air Station, buying a new Mac Book Pro when they arrived. They were mostly unpacked by the time I got home, that was good timing:-). Sure going to be nice having good neighbors!

The young couple put in some very long miles, they left Indiana late Sunday evening. Today is Wednesday. They will probably crash early tonight!

Jim found this inside his storage room. Good possibility that something is buried there! I have a feeling it may have been gophers, but not likely they could dig up through the plywood floor..Very interesting! Tomorrow we'll do some detective work. (right after I see if the Exchange at the base will take back the Mac. After 4 hours, I've decided it isn't something I want. Although, I may have to keep it. If so, I'll live with it, but probably not happily :-)

New Puppy

Lucy. Redd's new puppy. She's Chihuahua/Poodle. 7 weeks old, and a real sweetie!

She settled right into my jacket

Bull is jealous, but he's being nice to his new sister.

After playing for awhile, she needed a nap.

This dog is going to have a good life!

Big fat Dove in the Palo Verde tree in Redd's back yard

She's been there one day, and already rules the roost! :-)

Christmas season pictures

This "well traveled"Christmas Cactus goes back and forth to Oregon with us. Pat's mother gave it to us several years ago. I never bloomed until we came to Yuma. Pure white flowers with pink insides. It is loaded with buds that will be flowers soon!

We picked up this small tree at the "After Christmas Sale" at Walmart last year. The lights are on, and Pat is putting some of the little treasures we brought with us on it. Not a lot of ice and snow, but the warm sun feels good during the Christmas Season!

Dale Hanson. A guy with a "heart of gold". Even though he and Ev have a busy Social Life, he's always busy helping people in the park. He's spent the last 3 days painting a neighbor's trailer. His pants are wet from watering his new lawn this morning, not from any accidents :-)

Mario. Park handiman, gardener, plumber, mechanic and all round good guy! Dec 15, 2010.

We had a Jam in our park today. Jerry, who always hosts these wasn't feeling well today. But the show went on. This is our neighbor Jimmy. Singing his heart out!

Pat and I went to Chili's this evening. Here is our appitizer. Shoestring onions and Jalapeno stack, with Jalapeno/Ranch dip. I had a half rack of ribs and Pat had Chicken Fajitas. All the food was excellent. I was so hungry and it looks so good, I forgot to take a picture of the entree's.

70th B Day pics

This is Jumper. When I was very young, I remember having a little goat like this for a pet, her name was Swanly, named for a goat in Heide. This little one reminded my of her a lot. And that was about 65 years ago!

A Exotic animal farm South of Yuma

I had Julie with me on the ride this morning. She wasn't very impressed with these big guys.

The camels seemed to like the T-dub

Good climate for them I guess. They all look healthy.

A Zeburro. Half Zebra, half Burro.

The little goat is down there by the front wheel. He followed us around all morning.:-)

Goats of al kinds. Most seemed friendly

They were wanting food. You could buy dates and some other kind of treats for the animals

Don't know if he looks more Zebra or Donkey

He was playing in his corral.

Pretty Billy goat gruff.

One more of the Zeburro.

That big Ostrich was suppose to be mean

This is as close as we got to the Ostrich.

A zoom of it's head

Julie was getting tired of all this!

Went home to change bikes. Met up with Scott, a new person this year to our park. He has this Yamaha. We rode about 60 miles from the house up to Stone Cabin

Interesting place. We had burgers and fires. Scott has Buffalo, I ohad a Southwest Beef with a lot of jalapenos on it. Big..juicy..and good!

A one man operation. This is the 6th year he's been open. It's about 28 miles south of Quarzsite, in the middle of nowhere

Neighbor Scott. A Yuma county Deputy sherrif stopped in to visit.

It was cool when we left Yuma, but in the mid 70's by the time we got here

Randy, the owner, stocks a lot of thigs the tourists buy

Stinky oil

Scott is checking out all the goodies

Cross between a Pelican and a seagull I think.

We went to a Jam in the Foothills tonight. These are some of the lights we looked at after the Jam.

Several blocks of nice Lights.

The streets are bright!

Electric blue!

They have contests out here every year

We enjoyed the lights

This is the photo I sent in to the TW200 forum. They are having a contest this month. "Your TW with an animal, not necessarily a pet". I covered all bases with this shot I think.
